Anchor Group is pleased to announce we have received Gateway Determination from the NSW Department of Planning for a 46-storey mixed-use tower in the heart of Parramatta, positioned beside the Parramatta River foreshore, Charles Street Square and the ferry wharf. This milestone advances our vision for a vibrant riverfront destination that brings homes, workplaces and activated ground-floor retail together at one of Sydney’s most connected waterfront locales

The Gateway Determination enables our planning proposal to proceed to the next stage, including public exhibition and detailed technical studies. Our scheme is designed to knit seamlessly into the public realm—strengthening links between Charles Street Square, the foreshore and the ferry wharf—while proposing an elevated promenade and a highly activated ground plane to enhance walkability, outlooks and everyday river life.
Guided by design excellence and sustainability outcomes, the tower aspires to deliver a refined skyline statement with generous public domain improvements, improved pedestrian and cycling connections, and new places to meet, dine and linger by the water. Subject to future approvals, this project will help shape a more connected, welcoming and lively Parramatta Quay precinct.
